Roadmap for the Popularisation of Electric Vehicles

The Environment Bureau announced earlier the "Roadmap for the Popularisation of Electric Vehicles in Hong Kong". Measures include stopping newly registered petrol-fueled private cars, including hybrid vehicles, by 2035. The goal is to achieve zero vehicle emissions by 2050 and to support Hong Kong by 2050. Achieve the goal of carbon neutrality. The authorities hope to expand the charging network by 2025, adding at least 150,000 private charging facilities and at least 5,000 public charging facilities throughout Hong Kong to promote the popularisation of electric private cars and commercial vehicles.
