EV-charging at Home Subsidy Scheme


The car park is ancillary to one or more buildings (other than a house or a village house) which is / are –


1) Mainly for domestic use.

2) Not under any known or existing re-development / demolition plan on the date of application.

3) With building plans firstly submitted to the Buildings Department for approval before 1 April 2011.

4) Must contain 10 or more eligible parking spaces.

5) Has less than 60% of the total number of eligible parking spaces in open area.

6) In multiple ownership with no single owner owning more than 40% of the total number of the eligible parking spaces.


Funding scope


The cost of installing electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the parking lot will include the installation or upgrading of the following equipment: cable ducts/wire racks/wire ducts, protection devices, distribution boxes, wire conduits, power switchgear, cables/wires, isolators, modification And add power switchgear, meter box, emergency switch for firefighters, and other related building construction works. If approved by the Environmental Protection Department, the subsidy can also include retrofitting existing electric vehicle charging facilities to integrate with the electric vehicle charging infrastructure installed under the subsidy scheme.


Funding


The subsidy ceiling is 30,000 HKD for each eligible parking space approved by the Environmental Protection Department to be included in the installation project, or 15 million HKD for the entire development project (regardless of the number of car parks involved or the number of applications submitted), whichever is lower Prevail.
